Our Role

What NDARAMA Does, and What It Does Not

An introducer sits between two parties and makes them known to each other. That is the whole of it.

A permit board beside a gate with somebody checking papers against it.

What It Does

Pools anonymous declarations into regional totals. Publishes those totals. Verifies that a buyer holds a licence, by a person. Makes the introduction. Teaches the business through the school.

What It Does Not Do

It never takes possession of any mineral. It never handles payment. It never prices a parcel, never assays, never publishes an individual declaration, and never sells a seller's identity.

Our Role in a Formal Market

The trade in this region has been carried for generations by people working honestly in conditions that gave them no formal route. The answer is not to lecture them. It is to make the straight road the easy road.

So the board sends a holder to a licensed buyer rather than to whoever turns up at the gate. The Government page sends people to their own mining department with the instrument named and the address printed. The school teaches what a licence is worth and what a formal buyer will pay for one. None of that makes us anybody's inspector.
